Mangrove School of Sarasota is an intentional school community founded by parents, teachers, and friends who seek a unique, progressive education for their children. They serve children from early childhood to adolescence and focus on cultivating creativity, courage, confidence, and contribution to the world. Their vision is to honor childhood, respect each child's journey, meet their developmental needs, nurture their natural curiosity, and offer a rigorous yet dynamic academic curriculum.

They aim to instill reverence for humanity, animal life, and the Earth, promote world peace and responsibility, challenge children to discover their capacities, and instill confidence to try new things. The school provides a nurturing and calm space for children to love, learn, and grow, engaging their head, heart, and hands. Mangrove School of Sarasota was founded in 2000 by dedicated parents and experienced Waldorf teachers and has since expanded to offer programs from early childhood to 8th grade, along with various enrichment programs and community events. 

They emphasize a strong connection to nature, experiential learning, and service to those in need as Florida's first outdoor school.
